Privacy
The short version: this site counts visits without cookies, keeps no IP addresses and loads nothing from third parties. Here is exactly what happens.
Visit counts
We count page views with our own analytics, served from this site. Nothing is sent to an outside analytics company. A view is only counted after the page has been visible for one second.
To tell one visitor from another within a day, the server makes a one-way hash of your IP address and your browser's user agent (the line that names your browser and system), mixed with a random value that changes every day. Only the hash is kept. The daily value is deleted at the end of each day, so a visit today can't be linked to a visit tomorrow, and your IP address is never stored.
We keep the page you viewed, the site that sent you (if any) and the type of device: phone, tablet or desktop. Visit records are deleted after 400 days.
If you arrive from another site or a tagged link, your browser remembers where you first came from in its own local storage, so a later visit is credited to the right source. You can clear it at any time from your browser's settings. To stop being counted at all, open any page with ?wa=off added to the address.
No third-party trackers
This site loads no ads, no social media pixels and no scripts from other companies. Fonts and icons are served from our own server.
Cookies
The public pages set no cookies. The admin area, which only the site owner uses, sets one strictly necessary cookie to keep the owner signed in. Visitors never receive it.
If you write to us, we use your address and message to reply to you, and for nothing else.
